How To Put Wallpaper On PSP

This method is for Version 2.xx and above. For Version 1.50, pls read further below.
Setup ——-
(1) Before you begin, make sure you have a PSP 2.x: * Does your PSP main menu has an Internet “Globe” icon. If so, you have a 2.x.
(2) Make sure you have the right USB cable to connect your PSP to a PC
(3) Make sure your memory stick is formatted. If it is, you will see the directory PSPPHOTO when your PSP is connected to a PC (via USB).
Begin ——-
(4) Connect your PSP to a PC now. Besides hooking up the USB cable, you’ll have to select “USB Connection” from the first PSP main menu icon. If successful, your PSP will appear as a drive icon on a Windows or Mac.
(5) Copy the wallpaper(s) to PSPPHOTO. For example, if your PSP appears as E: drive, then copy the pictures to E:PSPPHOTO
(6) Get out of “USB Connection” mode by following the instructions on the PSP screen (on a Japan PSP, pressing the “X” button. On a US or European PSP, press the “O” button).
(7) From the PSP main menu, navigate to the Photo icon and view the copied picture
(8) When the picture is displayed on-screen, press the “Triangle” button
(9) Choose the second icon from the left (”Set as wallpaper”)
(10) Confirm your selection
(11) Done.
(12) In newer PSP firmware, you may have to do 1 more step: Go to the “Settings” icon (left most). Scroll down/up to “Theme Settings”. Go to “Wallpaper”, press the O button (for Japanese PSP) or X button (for US PSP). Choose “Use Wallpaper”. Done.

The problem is that, once installed, it deletes four critical system files, rendering the infected device useless. Researchers at antivirus firm Symantec say the Trojan, dubbed Trojan.PSPBrick, was found circulating on gaming web sites last week.
PSP users who unwittingly install it will see the message “Your PSP 2.0 is hacked, please reboot” pop up on the screen of their console. However, efforts to restart the gadget are likely to end in frustration. “It’s a really nasty trick,” says Mikko Hyppönen, director of antivirus research at Finnish company F-Secure. He believes there is no way to remedy an infected machine without taking it for costly repairs. “A hacker as destructive as this obviously isn’t thinking straight.”
