You see, he knows how much I like to play psp games online and stuff. Anyway, apart from emailing me 5 VIP vouchers to Micky D’s, he also included this.

Now normally, I’d throw away an email like this as he spams me more than I like. But being a good friend an all, I feel as though I have to read it.

You see, every time I hear someone giving away free stuff, my “bullsht detector” rings out loud. Anyway, this time, I was on high alert.

But when you got T Mobile, ho are like this huge company or something saying this, you know it’s genuine.

You see, you’ll be able to play games while relaxing at Starbucks or something. You know, if you don’t want to go inside and buy a drink and all to use the WIFI. One of my friends does this. He just sits outside the shop on the bench they normally have, and uses the WIFI. He totally get’s away with it too! Which I think is way cool.

Now before I begin this post, I gotta WARN you about modding your PSP. You see, if not done properly, it might brick your PSP.

So in saying this, let me share this with you.

I just got myself a new PSP Slim and wanted to know if I could “Pandorize” it.

Anyway, I emailed a good friend of mine who’s in with the psp scene. Yeah. He’s one of those hackers or something. Anyway, I asked him if he knew of anyone who had Pandorized their new PSP Slim.

Well, a few hours later, I get an email and a link to the video below. (It;s a killer video.)

The good news is that people are already Pandorizing their PSP Slim when they want. THe only badnews is this. Wehaven;t got the details on how they do it. But we are contantly trying to find them.

Ive finally done it! After long hours of asking, Ive finally found how to get the custom Home Screens working for the PSP. (Almost as good as geting free psp game downloads too!)

WARNING: I AM NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR ANYTHING THAT MAY HAPPEN TO YOUR PSP! USE AT YOUR OWN RISK!
This has been tested on a 3.03 OE-C PSP and a 3.10 OE-A’ PSP. Everything up to 3.40 OE-A should work, but I havent personally tested them. (others have reported success however)

With that out of the way, we’ll need some files:

NOTE: Once youve extracted the files where you want, move the file imposer.exe to the C:/WINDOWS/ folder for the GUI to work properly.
Also, here are the RSC and the PRX to extract the bitmap images: http://www.sendspace.com/file/ab9gfk

PART 1: Extracting Bitmap Image
Heres where we get the file that we will use to replace all the images and lines from the home screen. I’ll be showing you with the PRX, but it works the same way with the RSC.

This will leave you with a bitmap image with everything you need!

Part 2: Editing the Bitmap Image!
Easiest part. Just edit everything within the red boxes. Dont go on or over the red lines or you WILL Semi-Brick the PSP. Those are the only real guidelines, and these are the images that will appear on your home screen, so make em as you want! Also, the little box in the bottom left corner? Thats your background color. Fill it with whatever you want your color to be!
Note, when saving your final images:
The PRX bitmap must be 332×166, unpacked 24bit BMP.
The RSC bitmap must be 552×546, unpacked 8bit BMP.

Part 3: Injecting/Moving the Files!
This is where we take the modified Bitmap image, put it in the PRX your using, and drop it on your PSP!

1. Make a copy of the impose.prx you used earlier. Lets rename it 1impose.prx
2. Start up the Imposer GUI again
3. Input is 1impose.prx, bitmap is your modified bitmap image
4. Click the output button. Now in the “file select” window, highlight 1impose.prx and hit open.
5. Hit okay, and a file called 1impose.prx.prx should show up. Rename it to impose.prx
6. Plug in your PSP and open up Flash0 via Recovery Mode
7. You have 3 choices here. If you drop the impose.prx in your:
i) Flash0/kd/ folder, all your commercial UMD’s will have custom Home Screens
ii) Flash0/kn/ folder, all of youre homebrew will have a custom Home Screen
iii) Obviously, you can put the same impose.prx in both folders for UMD’s and Games to have custom Home Screens.

Voila! Fire up your PSP and see how it looks!

When I get free time and stuff, I like to play around with my psp. You know, there was a point of time where I thought I was a tech dude or something. You know. I thought I could do stuff to my psp.

… Like mod it or something.

Anyway, after pulling my PSP apart one day and completely destroying it, I realized one thing. I’m not smart enough to F$%K around with it.

Guess I learned the hardway!

Now mods should be left to the big boys. Like these dudes. You see, these guys have done some crazy shite to their PSP. And you know what?

Well, watch this video and check out what they’ve done.

It’s absolutely mind blowing. Only one complaint I have about it.

They don’t give you the instructions on how to do it yourself. I guess thats a good thing for me. You see, if I saw the instructions, I think I’d give it a go.

Dude, you got to check out this game. it totally rocks! And you’ll want to download this psp games after reading it!

Let me tell you a bit about about.

“In the Crib with Rob and Big”, developed by Zodal (a New Zealand based Flash Mobile development company) has released a PSP Flash game loosely based on the MTV Networks reality TV show characters of the same name.

The game is a “sidescroller” with both old school 80’s arcade style play and retro pixel graphics. Just the thing for psp gamers like us.

You see, the objective of the game is to earn points as Rob performs various skating moves and stuff

And at the end of each stage with Rob, the other character, “Big” then contends with various bosses, in which he must fight to help send Rob to the next level (of which there are currently three we know of). The object of the goal score as many points as you can on three unique levels of game play.

The game play consists on using the left and right arrow keys to control Rob’s skating speed as he moves from left to right in each scene presented. Using the “X” key makes Rob jump over obstacles. Using the “X” key in conjunction with arrow keys, such as when jumping off onscreen objects makes Rob perform skating tricks that earns him points. If you fail to clear an obstacle or mess-up you lose energy from your health bar. Lose enough energy and it wipes out one of your 3 total lives for game.

After each stage is cleared with Rob, Big is faced to fight some baddie. The controls here consist of various key combos that must be performed in exact precise order and within a quick elapse of time, otherwise Big looses health. If the user executes enough moves, Big defeats the enemy and Rob is able to go to the next level. As you progress throughout the game the levels do get harder, and are quite challenging given this is a casual game.

Installation: First time users to Flash based PSP gaming will have to do some digging in order to get the game installed and running within the PSP browser (but to no fault to Zodal). Unfortunately, at this time, no standalone and self executing Flash content is supported on the PSP.
