Sony Rolls Out PSP 3.73

I just want to let you know Sony released the new update for 3.73. And the reason why they released it was to fix up some of the stuff going on with the UMD. You see, people were experiencing “freezing” during UMD loading.
So that is what they’ve done. And if you want to update your PSP, then give the run “Network Update” a go. That should fire it up.
Anyway, once we get some more feedback, I will let you know more about it or something. Otherwise, enjoy your day!

PSP Brings Out New Battery

Now if you have a slim PSP, you know annoying it can be charge your PSP. Especially when you are away from a power source or something.
Anyway, the dudes at Sony must be reading listening to our community because they have done something for us.
You see, they have gone and improved the battery life on the PSP so that we don’t keep looking for power. That means the PSP will last longer than before.
Now there is a few weks wait though. You see, the new battery is gonna be released in mid December.
And here’s what it’s going to look like.
Now there is gonna be a bulge in it too. And that’s why they come with new battery covers as well. I guess the extended battery life comes with a bit of a downside.
Anyway, it’s gonna sell for under $50 which I think is a bit of a bargain.
And if anyone knows where we can get it cheaper, then let us know.

PSP Games Gets Excited

If you have a PSP slim, I don’t need to tell you how cool it is.
You see, it is lighter and it last longer battery wise.
But did you get this excited when you took it out of the box?
Well, have a look at this video. You see, I haven’t seen anyone get more excited than Chris.

Dark_Alex Does 3.71M33-3 For PSP

Dark_Alex is one real bad MOFO.
You see, he has gone and done something which everyone thought he’d never do.
Anyway, if you want to get this now, I’d suggest you hurry. You see, who knows how long he will keep it up there.
So before it goes, here is where you got to download it from;

Anyway, if you’re not sure if its for you, have a read of the 3.71 M33-3 changes:
- Fixed a bug in access to flash by usb.
- HEN core: kernel prx’s with syscall exports work again.
- PSP Slim: programmers can set the size of user memory to 52 MB by using a sfo flag. Check sample in sdk for usage.
- March33 NO-UMD driver:
- Fixed a bug that could hang the psp when exiting with home.
- Fixed compatibility issue with Castlevania Dracula X Chronicles, and maybe more games.
- Vshmenu: it wasn’t displaying properly with psp slim TV-OUT due to the change of resolution. Fixed.
PopsLoader changes:
- Support for 3.71 and 3.72 pops has been added. Note that 3.71 however will not appear in the list in 3.71 M33 as it is not necessary.

Here’s a cool magazine for you to download to your PSP. We haven’t put one up for a long time. So that’s why we are doing it.
But it’s not the only reason. You see, there’s some really good stuff to read it in.
… Like 30 Days of night interview and stuff. Here’s what else they say that’s in the issue;

PSP Games Info - Man Hunt 2 On The Warpath

Looks like Manhunt 2 is still causing problems in the psp games world. You see, some hackers have found a way to get past those blockers which stop us from playing ALL of it. Anyway, if you are under 17, you might want to look away now. You see, this game is gruesome. Like execution style and stuff.Anyway, if you got the game and want to see why people are talking about it, here’s the hack for you. You see, we found this on a hack site.
Now, before I show you the hack, I want to let you know the big dudes at Take 2 said they knoew about the hack and hope people wouldn;t try it.
And for good reason. You see, this is really gruesome. Me. I can’t play games like this. I guess it doesn’t help me keep my food down or something.
Anyway, if you still want it, here’s what the hackers say to do.
Requirements:
* UMDGen 4.00
* Manhunt 2 ISO/CSO (find that(its available in our psponlineinfo.com or rip it yourself)
* A simple text editor
Now… Open up UMDGen and drag and drop the ISO/CSO into the main window of UMDGen… You should see a Manhunt 2 icon in the top right of UMDGen.
Next, you should see some some folders in the main window of the program. Double click “PSP_GAME” then you will get more folders. Double click on USRDIR and then GLOBAL.
Once inside the Global folder, you should see a couple folders and and some files. We are only going to be touching one of these files from GLOBAL. Find a text file named LVLSETUP.INI and right click it hit extract selected and place it on your desktop. Now with the LVLSETUP.INI you extracted, open it with a notepad.
Inside the notepade look for this string…

Delete all of it, and save the notepad. Go back to the open window of UMDgen and delete the Orginal LVLSETUP.INI and drag and drop the edited one you just created into that directory. Now, we are going to go to another section of folders. On the right side of UMDGen you should see the directorys of the game, click on USRDIR again and the main window will pop up with some new folders. The one we are going to be going into this time is LEVELS. Double click it. Once inside the levels folder you should see 16 folders.
A01 - A18.
Open the folder A01_ES.
Inside the A01_ES folder you are going to look for a file called GLVLSET.INI.
Same as before, extract it to the desktop and open it.
We are going to be looking for the same string…

Delete it, and save the text file. Delete the Orginal one inside UMDGen and drag and drop the one you just edited into UMDGen. You need to repeat this step for every folder inside the LEVELS directory. So basicly you need to go thru A01_ES all the way to the last folder A18_MA and edit every one of those GLVLSET.INI files the same way you have been. Once that is all completed (yeah I know its a pain …) hit the “Save” icon on UMDGen and select the method you wish to save it as. ISO/CSO/DAX, It shouldnt effect the process of what we just did. Once UMDGen is done compressing and what not, Thats it. Take your modded game and upload it to your psp and play, enjoy your uncensored kills… the way Manhunt was meant to be enjoyed.

Sony Rolls Out PSP Firmware 3.72

Just as we get used to last months firmware release, Sony unleashes another one on us. You see, they have rolled out another official firmware. This brings it to 3.72.
And this one is crazy update.
You see, you can now set a theme under [Theme Settings].… And search for a scene when playing a movie that is saved on Memory Stick Duo media. Plenty of stuff really. We also liked the simultaneous playback of content under (Music) and (Photo) is now supported.
Anyway, the official firmware can be found on Sony’s site.
