Ok, for all you psp gamers who love space ships and stuff. Here’s a video of what to expect when the psp game download “No Gravity - The Plague of Mind” comes out in August. (Ok. For our US community, we have to wait on this one. But it looks as though this will come out here not long after it releases in Europe. If for some reason it doesn’t, you will probably be able to pick it up at PSP Blender.)

Anyway, No Gravity is a 3D space shooter which allows you to control a spaceship from the first-person or third-person perspective. You don’t really see this from the video, but you have to get through 32 different missions which ranges from destroying enemy ships or base, escorting allied ships, raiding ground bases, clearing the mine field, etc.

The key features to this game are the first person and third person 3D view as you can tell from the video. Pretty sweet I have to say. Another cool part of this psp game is you get to hover around in 5 different ships with 3 different paints. Your choice too.

Anyway, this is what happens when Sony supports some of our psp homebrew developers. I have to say this is pure genious!

truflow_v10_a_coverflow-like_music_browser_for_the_psp.jpg

If you’ve been impressed with Apple’s Coverflow User Interface (UI) for iTunes, homebrew app developer Da Merv has a nice addition to your Playstation Portable. With TruFlow, you can browse through your favorite tracks in the same way you would with Itunes on the PSP.

Boasting the first version release of the program, TruFlow uses the same UI format as iTunes. To get started, all you have to do is add your choice of cover art for the song you have stored on your handheld. TruFlow will automatically index your music folder upon running it for the first time.

Here’s a list of the app’s controls:

* Cross: plays the selected album, select menu item
* Square: stops playing the current song
* Circle: pauses/plays the current song
* Triangle: displays/closes menu
* L/R: play previous/next song
* Left/Right: browse albums one by one
* Analog nub: scrolls through albums
* Up/Down: change selection in menu

The developer noted that there might be a slight delay every time a song starts, and suggests playing MP3s encoded below 320, to avoid any potential issues. If you encounter any bugs with the program, you can drop Da Merv a line by visiting the homebrew release thread.

Don’t forget to read the documentation included in the file bundle for instructions on how to install TruFlow into you PSP.

Memory Stick For PSP Game DownloadsAs you know, if you are going to get psp game downloads, you need to get yourself a memory stick. Now, you probably wondering what is the best deal on the net for a memory stick. Well, I got to tell you, Amazon is having a bit of a sale on the SanDisk 8GB memory stick Pro Duo.

You see, if you have some spare cash lying around and need one, then you couldn’t do better than what they’re selling for on Amazon. And the reason why is because the price is about $25 of the normal sales prices.

Anyway, they also have a sale on the 4GB too. But if you can extend your budget a little, go for the 8GB. (You will thank me for it. :))

Go VIew For PSP

Ok all you Uk and Irish psp gamers. Here’s something for you which you probably know will knock your socks off. You see, Go!View is finally open for you to download. Movies, tv shows and stuff. For everyone else, you can still get all the latest psp downloads from a site like PSP Blender.

Now, here’s how this all works.

Go!View is a montly subscription where you get to download one of 3 packages. You see, you can choose between an entertainment, comedy and sports package. The more packages you want the more it will cost. (From what we know, the full 3 packages is going to cost around 10 pounds a month)

You get to download shows like Hustle, Weeds, Spocks, Little Britain, League of Gentlemen and other shows too.

Now you are probably wondering what you need to download this all to your psp. Well, if your a Mac user, then it won’t work for you. And the reason why is because it’s built for the PC. Anyway, if you are keen on Go!View, you will need to run WinXP, Internet Explorer v6.0+ and Adobe Flash v9.0+. And the main thing is that you have a memory stick with lots of free space. If not, then you better get one.

So you may be wondering what the verdict is on this. Well, to be honest, I think it’s best you wait for a little while till they get a few more shows and stuff for you to download. You see, I would hold off until they add more episodes and things to download, so you get more bang for your buck.
Anyway, if you want to read more about it, Pocket Gamer has put a sort of guide together. It sort of explains what you need to do in 14 steps.

Maybe worth readng before signing up.

PSP GPS Is Coming Soon

GPS PSP

Now you may be wondering when psp GPS is coming out. Well, John Koller, senior marketing manager for the Sony PSP, recently confirmed in an interview with E3 that the portable console’s GPS attachment will arrive in North America some time next year. The attachment Koller spoke of seems to be the same accessory Sony announced in CES 2008 which proceeded the announcement of Skype support for the PSP.

Sony is currently seeking out other video game publishers who might be interested in employing GPS technology in their titles. Some may recall the hype behind Metal Gear Solid: Portable Ops by Konami. This game quickly became famous for many reasons, one of them being its use of the PSP GPS receiver that allowed players to easily find and recruit additional personnel. While this added a new level of depth and functionality to the game, it also offered more portability by allowing players to step outside and complete the mission.

2009 seems like a long time to wait for this new attachment but as we all know, times flies with your PSP. Unfortunately, Koller hasn’t announced an official arrival date so you should certainly stay tuned to find out the latest psp details.

Resistance Retribution

Resistance Retribution takes place weeks after the fallout from Resistance Fall of Man. The game features a new hero by the name of James Grayson, a former British marine.

When his brother, an RAF pilot, is savagely shot down, Grayson sets out a mission to find him. What he discovers is a shell of his brother, the latest experiment in the Chimera conversion project. Reluctant, Grayson kills his brother and goes on a mission to destroy every conversion center he comes across.

However, his efforts are rather futile as the Chimera have developed a new way of converting humans into alien beings in Western Europe. Grayson is called upon by the Maquis to aid with Operation Overstrike against the Chimera. This is where the madness begins.

Features
Bend Studio built this game on its third-generation PSP engine, enabling more enemies to be displayed on the screen with more detailed characters. It includes an aim-assist feature that allows you to locate enemies and switch between them with ease. Bend Studio made the game much easier to control and compliments it with exceptional graphics to enhance your gaming experience. Resistance Retribution is scheduled to be released in the spring of 2009.

PSP Native Store

The Playstation Store has been thriving since first being introduced in November, 2006. In no time, the Playstation Network has built up an impressive lineup with thousands of selections to choose from. The improvements continued this past week as Sony launched a video rental service for owners of the PS3 and PSP. While the Playstation Network has made significant strides at reviving the Playstation name, some contest that the PSP remains under-developed and could be put to better use within the franchise.

One way to make the PSP standout would be giving the portable console its own store on the Playstation Network. As of now, gamers must download content to their PC and then transfer it to a PSP which requires use of a USB cable. Apparently, PSP Senior Product Manager John Koller agrees. He recently announced that his team at Sony is currently looking into the development of a PSP store. Furthermore, Chris Eden from Sony Computer Entertainment revealed that gamers would have the ability to download content directly to the PSP itself. We expect more details to be unveiled in the very near future. Lets just hope Sony doesn’t make us wait too long.
