Samurai Showdown Anthology
Author: mase

The Samurai Showdown Anthology will be released in Europe on PSP very soon, and will contain all six of the major titles of this hugely popular series. The RPG spinoff and the 3D versions won’t be included, sadly, but the main six from the era of the 2D arcade will be. It was way back in 1993 when the first one of these games appeared on the scene and it gained a giant following very quickly. The gameplay was fast-paced and unique, and that helped to define the 2D fighting genre. Because it was so popular, sequels were released quite often and more people started falling in love with the game, even if they hadn’t played the first one.
The Anthology will have more than 48 playable characters throughout the six games. The sword-based fighting is intense and the characters can be personalized with a mode for color editing. With all those choices and options, the Samurai Showdown Anthology is a great choice for game playing.

Level 5 announces Ushiro
Author: mase

Ushiro is another Level 5 game. These developers have created a lot of different styles of games, but this particular one is horror-themed.If you want to play this game you’ll have to wait a while. It’s going to be released in Japan, for PSP, sometime during 2009, but there isn’t any definite release date just yet. Nothing has been said about when the game will be released in the United States, if at all, but Level 5 almost always releases their games in the US as well, so those who want to play the game in the States shouldn’t worry.
Players take the role of a spirit in the game, and interact with the living to help them fulfill their desires or overcome struggles. The players will also be able to possess the bodies of the living and do battle with those people’s internal thoughts. It’s a much different game than anything that’s been done before, which will probably ensure its success.
