New Face of FIFA Soccer

Electronic Arts Inc. recently announced that Toronto FC star player Maurice Edu will be featured on the cover of the world’s most popular soccer video game. Edu will be joined by Brazilian International Ronaldinho and Mexican national team star Guillermo Ochoa on the cover of EA Sports FIFA Soccer “09″. They will also act as spokespersons for the game in Canada, the US and other regions throughout North America.
EA Sports plans to change the way sports games are played online as FIFA Soccer “09″ will be the first that enables up to 20 people to simultaneously play fixed positions in a single game. Instead of employing a single-player mind set, gamers will be challenged to think and play as a team. Online team play will feature a 10 vs. 10 scenario available for the PS3 and Xbox 360.
Developed in Burnaby, British Columbia by EA Canada, FIFA Soccer “09″ is localized in 18 languages and will be sold in 37 countries. FIFA Soccer “09″ will be available for the Sony Playstation 3, Playstation 2, PSP, Xbox 360, the Nintendo Wii and DS as well as on PC.
